When first approached with the TapSnap concept, Ryan Kidd was a little skeptical of a business based on dealing with crowds. The lucrative business model however lured him into learning more, and as a DVDNow owner since 2008 he wholeheartedly believed in the TapSnap investment.
Currently working with businesses in Sacramento-area, Kidd is looking to expand across multiple markets in California with TapSnap. In fact, he is bringing on a sales manager to help lead day-to-day operations.
“I see myself continuing to grow here,” said Kidd. “The great thing is that TapSnap is a perfect fit for so many personalities. I like the freedom of working for myself at a fun, futuristic company.”
He has a strong grip on the community in Sacramento and has helped enhance many notable events. Some personal favorites of his are the partnership with 2013 Sactoberfest (Sacramento’s Octoberfest event) and the Catching Fire Premier, both of which attracted a diverse group of people.
Taking a look at his successes this far, it’s difficult to believe that Kidd is a young entrepreneur. In 2011, Kidd left the restaurant industry to fully concentrate his career on DVDNow. He quickly excelled with this business and sought to expand his investments by joining TapSnap.
A true family man, Kidd spends his free time with his wife and three-year-old son.
