TapSnap brings new kind of event photography to Toledo region events

By TapSnap

Local resident Kelly Craig has brought the joy of TapSnap phototainment to the Toledo region. Launched this April at various locations across North America, TapSnap is the special event photo booth reinvented as an open-concept, high-tech phototainment system that is instantly connected to social media.

“The technology is so amazing -- what you can do! I love TapSnap’s ability to upload instantly to Facebook and other social media at an event. People are so into social media right now, TapSnap almost sells itself. And to be able to see photos from an event as they are taken in real-time is a huge benefit,” said Craig, 29, who lives in Fremont, Ohio.

TapSnap allows event guests to take their picture with a touch of the fingertip to the giant 42-inch multi-touch screen, draw on their photos, and add digital props like funny hats or googly eyes. When they are done, they can share their creation instantly via social media networks and email, or print their photo to take home.

Franchise opportunites

The franchise was a natural fit for Craig, whose professional photography business Custom Imagery by Kelly focuses on portraits, weddings and charitable events, as well as commercial work for Memorial Hospital and Terra Community College. With TapSnap she can act as a one-stop shop for all event photography needs and provide enhanced services to her clients.

“Weddings are going to be big, as well as charitable and corporate events. I’d also love to do high school proms,” said Craig, adding that TapSnap allows event hosts to brand their photos with their event or corporate logo and choose a customized background.

Her TapSnap machine made its local debut at the U and I Bridal Show in Sylvania, Ohio on April 14. She also plans to bring it to an event on June 21 held for the Parker’s Purpose charity, which works to help children and families in need, and was created in honor of her 14-year-old cousin Parker who has muscular dystrophy.

The possibilities of TapSnap have made Craig really excited: “You know how you just get super-excited about something. That’s how I feel, little butterflies. I love that feeling. It keeps me going. And I know when people see what TapSnap can do, they’ll feel it too.”

Craig is one of the first franchisees of TapSnap, which launched in the U.S. in April this year. The invention of a Vancouver, Canada company, TapSnap is rapidly expanding across North America and franchises have launched at over two dozen locations at the U.S. including Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Houston, Toronto, Vancouver and many more.
