Vancouver scores record 17-day booking

By TapSnap

August is going to be 17 days of non-stop TapSnap fun for the Vancouver office, which makes it the longest TapSnap booking to date.

TapSnap will be on hand at the Corus Entertainment booth at the Pacific National Exhibition, promoting Vancouver radio station CKNW. The Pacific National Exhibition is the city’s annual summer fair with rides, performances, exhibits, Superdogs and now TapSnap.

“It’s all about the branding,” says Claire Nagle, TapSnap Event Coordinator (otherwise known as the Director of Fun). “We’ll be helping CKNW attract people to their booth, and build relations with its listeners by giving them a chance to play with photos and share them on social media. They can also print their own special PNE memory to take home.

Every time people share a picture, it will be furthering the CKNW and Corus Entertainment brand on social media.

Franchise opportunites

“We wanted to give PNE visitors something fun and exciting that they’ve never seen before, and something that helps keep our brand fresh in their minds, “ says Raila Gutman, the Marketing Manager for CKNW. “TapSnap’s social media potential for our brand at an event like the PNE is huge.”

Through TapSnap there will also be a Facebook competition with the winner receiving a TapSnap Gold Package for the best picture taken during the 17 days.

“People come to PNE to have fun, to try new things and have a blast,” says Claire. “We’re going to give them what they came for.”

The best part is that while TapSnap is marketing for CKNW, they’ll also be marketing themselves by their presence. The PNE usually draws over 900,000 visitors over the 17-day period.

CKNW will also have a roving reporter there, so TapSnap will hopefully get some news coverage too.

“We’re so excited about this. By the time this event is over, everyone in Vancouver will know about TapSnap,” says Claire.
